ELECTRA BIOGRAPHY
Carmen Electra She was born on April 20, 1972
in White Oak, Ohio near Cincinatti. Carmen is a celebrity performer,
singer, and dancer. Carmen's
potential was noticeable when she was a child as she entered in and won her first dance contest at
the age of only five. Carmen's birth
name was Tara Leigh Patrick but later she changed her name when the artist formerly
known as Prince told her she looked like a Carmen .Her last name was also
changed which means Greek godess.
Her mother name was Patricia who was a vocalist
and died of brain tumor in 1998. Her father name was Harry Patrick who worked as
an entertainer and guitarist. Carmen had an older sister Debbie who also died
from a heart attack. At the age of nine, she was elected for the School for
Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Princeton High School in Sharonville
.At the school she took singing classes
and
practicing her vocal talents . She has been
dancing and doing her own choreographing for the school's theater.
Her dream was to go to Los Angeles and sign a record deal. By the gentle age of
only fifteen, Carmen was on her way to
realizing her dream.
Carmen decided to move to Minneapolis, where she lived
with her sister, and she made a living as a clothes model for Target department
stores. After four years she moved to Los Angeles.
There she signed a recording contract with Paisley Park Records, Prince's
company. In 1992, after auditioning for Prince, Carmen was signed to his Paisley
Park Records label. Prince liked Carmen's
appearance and style and despite all of Prince's efforts in helping Carmen by
promoting her and her new album, her music career failed dejectedly. Her single
Go-Go Dancer scarcely got any airtime on MTV .Three years later,
Carmen armored herself and emerged on the Nickelodeon show
" All That". In March 1996, Carmen took a massive step forward and
posed nude for Playboy. She also did a Play boy
video entitled Play boy Cheerleaders. That same year, Carmen began guest
hosting on MTV's Loveline. On October 4, 1996 Carmen had been
selected to replace Jenny McCarthy on MTV's innovative show, "Singled Out".
Since then she has been in many TV
and Movie appearances including Good Burger, Loveline, Baywatch etc. She
returned to Baywatch for the 2003 reunion movie, Baywatch: Hawaiian
Wedding.
Electra has appeared in quite a lot of films,
such as Good Burger , The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human ,
the horror spoof Scary Movie and also came into sight in Scary
Movie 4 , Epic Movie , and the remake of the 1970s TV show Starsky
& Hutch (2004).
